BINNEN / BUITEN
LIFE IS GREAT, LIFE IS EASY, LIFE IS A PARTY en LIFE IS PERFECT are selected for an exhibition on Dutch Design in Spain. The 149 top designs are shown in the context of living inside and outside. It was the most visited exhibition of 2008 after Picasso.

Also a large article was published that showed my work together with that of Hella Jongerius and Jürgen Bey and I was mentioned in one breath with Marcel Wanders and Ineke Hans.
The exhibition BINNEN / BUITEN has moved on to the TDF Tenerife Design Festival.  

DESIGN ACT MOSKOU
In the middle of the old centre in the old wine factory Winzavod DESIGN ACT took place. Designers from all over the world have partaken in the Design Exhibition, Design Market and Design Forum.
I have participated in all three and most of my designs were on show. A compilation of my seminar will be available online soon.

Centerpiece of the event was a burning LIFE IS GREAT and a LIFE IS LOVELY outside in the courtyard.  It stole the hearts of many Russians and many Russians have stole mine.

As a cultural ambassador for my hometown Leeuwarden, the capital of the province Friesland, I have initiated CREATIVE CONNECTION. Initialy the initiative was ment to connect creative people from every field in Friesland the Netherlands and Moscow Russia. By now I have opened it up to people form all over the world. The idea is simple. As a participant you take care of your journey to and fro yourself, and during the visit you are taken care of by your counterpart. In this way you get acquainted with life in your host country.

CREATIVE CONNECTION is supported by Keunstwurk, organization for art, design, theater, dance, music and multi-discipline projects.

You can take part by making a profile on www.couchsurfing.org. This is an organisation that is allready equiped to arrange this kind of exchanges. After doing this join the group CREATIVE CONNECTION and you are done. It is a safe and open way to get in touch with a matching exchange partner for you.
