De Brink is a research, advice and clinical centre for people with a mental and sensory disorder, consequently the visitors to the entrance hall of the new main building can often hardly see. The illumination in this case should meet certain needs in order not to be a hindrance. On the other hand, people who can see well need a certain quantity of light.  Low-energy lamps are not only economic and low-maintenance, but turn out to be very suitable for this situation.
Research has proved that the last colours to be discerned are yellow and orange. This determined the colour for the organza cloth. I have chosen transparent material for evoking a less massive effect and giving the space a sense of openness. This was also important for people transported in a recumbent position. The transparency also generates a third colour where the cloths overlap. The shape corresponds with the revolving door, which has the same diameter as the light object. From the outside the orange shape can be seen along the whole front sustained at the same height.
